Louisa’s Doll

Hello again,

Just stopping in to update you on my latest doll. I have been busy this year, so haven’t had a chance to put them all on here, but thought this one was a little extra special with all this lady went through during the process, so I wanted to share it with you all.

So, here she is.  My latest doll. I worked with Louisa, the bride’s Aunt, to get this keepsake doll to her as a Christmas gift.

And here is my finished product:

There is a lot of work that goes into each doll that most don’t even think about, but that is why my dolls can be a little on the pricey side to some, but if you stop to think about it, I am usually only making pennies on each one for the time involved. I take extra special care to make sure this will be a lasting keepsake, not some little trinket. I want this to be able to be passed down through the family. A true Keepsake!! Here are some of the extra details I put into this doll. For example, I even try to match the jewelry and hand make these as well.     These are the real thing, and the picture I worked from:

And here is what I came up with:

As well as the shoes, which, again,  I make by hand and added each little gem by hand as well:   Here are the real thing:

This Doll’s dress used nearly 10 yards of tulle, so I shudder to think what the real one used! LOL 😉 But, I can only hope the bride loves her as much as Louisa said she did. Here is a couple of quotes from her emails: During the processThe progress is amazing…she is looking better and better…I am so excited” And when I sent her pictures of the finished doll: “She is perfect….and I cannot thank you enough……God bless your beautiful heart!” Thank you Louisa! You were a real joy to work with and I hope your family is blessed in the coming years with much joy and love!   Here are some more pictures of the doll and the work involved featuring both the real thing and my results:

Well, I hope you liked what you saw, and if you would be interested in getting a special keepsake for yourself of someone you know, please feel free to contact me at:  tamarastrinkets@tamarastrinkets.com  anytime and I would be happy to assist you in getting a quote. I just need a couple of pictures; one of the dress, and one of the bride (and they can be the same picture too), as well as any extras you would want included. I will get back to you as soon as I can with a price and we can go from there. It usually takes a couple of months, so please plan ahead if possible. I will try to do my best to meet deadlines if I can! 🙂 Also, you can visit my website at www.tamarastrinkets.com  and visit the contact page to get a quote as well. There is a form there to fill out if that is easier for you. Either way, I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit, and I thank you again for your interest in my work, and I hope you have a most wonderful day! Thanks much, Tamara 🙂
